There are over 11,000 unique species of birds in the world, in 249 different families, living on every continent. They have adapted to fill every niche, every food source, and habitat. They come in every shape and color imaginable. From the smallest Bee Hummingbird to the largest Ostrich. Of all these bird species, 1,469 species are globally threatened with extinction, that is one in every eight species. With threats on all sides, many species are in decline, most being species people have never even heard of. I hope I can introduce people to the incredible World of Birds, to learn about species that share your own backyard, those on the other side of the world, and those who could use more support if they are to avoid disappearing forever.
